More about the Climate Cops initiative

Climate Cops forms part of the npower Brighter Futures programme and links to the Government's national framework for sustainable schools. The programme aims to empower the next generation from the first day at school to the first day at work and show children how they can be heroes in tackling the causes of climate change, both in their homes and in their schools.

The children’s section of this site introduces them to the important concept of saving energy through three exciting, interactive games that are designed to teach: 1. What is energy waste? 2. How can you prevent energy waste? 3. Why are we saving energy?

In addition, there are lots of fun downloads that the children can access to engage them further in the Climate Cop programme and which can also be used as part of homework exercises.

Teachers may also be interested in reading more about education resources on the npower education website and npower's Urban Cricket project on the npower cricket website. The npower Brighter Energy Debate website may also be of interest to teachers looking to find out more about the issues facing the energy industry.
